music i need for films and commercials

to any musicians out there who may have stumbled on this blog:

I am looking for some new music at the moment. Some is for a new film and some is for an online commercial. Genres include:

HipHop/Dub (a la damian marley)
Indie guitar and indie experimental rock (a la Arcade fire)
Indie/electro cross-over (a la blockparty)

Beastie Boys... first full inst. album

This is good stuff, i always liked the BB's instrumentals i must admit.
Anyway, the album came through the post box and i've been having a good old listen to it.

The strongest tracks for me are the gala event, have a listen.

Also like Electric Worm, which i think's a bit of a classic, check a sample of it here.

I certainly reckon that the rest of the 12 tracks are strong enough to warrant the purchase

14 hours......

..... practically non-stop music listening, i took the headphones off only to go to the toilet and answer the phone. This time for heineken and adidas commercial work.

Highlights were:

the new nextmen album - This was supposed to be the future (worth a listen)
The dub pistols - open (trevor lovey's open all hours mix) which is excellent!

I've just heard the new Tunng album

I have had the great fortune of being privy to the highly anticipated new Tunng album 'Good Arrows' and i am very happy to say that its not going to disappoint. Featuring 11 tracks, collectively more upbeat than the previous albums offerings but in no way compromising the Tunng magic.

A very reliable source informs me that fans may even be surprised to find out that the band actually stand during their live performances now...

listened to a lot of new music from a small UK indie label called A Future Without... run by a nice guy called Ross. If you like electro/acoustic/folk then this is for you.

Have been placing their music into some new adidas projects and trying to get tracks from the label into some some corporate stuff - pretty run of the mill but good bit of cash that'll be useful for plying back into the label.
